TALES OF KENZERA-ZAU.

Nainita Desai, is a composer who has in recent years worked on numerous interesting films and TV projects and has always delivered tantalising and innovative sounding scores. One of her recent score is for the game Tales of Kenzera-Zau, which I will say is something I started to listen to and was completely captivated by. The game is about a grieving boy who begins to read a Bantu tale written by his late father. Adventure into the beautiful and treacherous lands of Kenzera as Zau, a young shaman who bargains with the God of death to bring his Baba back from darkness.

With your cosmic powers and untried courage, you advance into unknown mythological lands. Once bursting with life, Kenzera is now rife with lost ancestral spirits. As Zau advances toward his goal, three mighty beings lie in wait, fearsome in their strength yet somehow strangely familiar. Will you embrace the dance of the shaman?

NAINITA DESAI.

The score is just brimming with inventive and intoxicatingly joyous sounding cues, there is so much going on within the work its hard to keep up with it, I will say in my opinion this could be one of the composers most entertaining and uplifting soundtracks to date, I enjoyed it immensely and as the soundtrack moved forward the thematic excellence developed and became even more established.

The composer combining a collection of diverse and varied styles that encompass, symphonic sounds, synthetic and vocal elements, which all make up a rhythmic, positive sounding, enthralling and haunting work. The percussion is to die for, it has a colourful and rich thematic foundation that the composer builds upon, adding more and more components and sounds as we progress.

Yes, you guessed it I liked it a lot, highly recommended and available now on digital platforms.
